Mainly I believed what I was told, and didn’t care about any other views. Well my sister started to date a guy named scott and he goes to a different church that what I do (by the way, im a “Baptist” in case you didn’t know.) and so my outlook on religion was changed when my sister believed something different that what I did. She still does, and im ok with that. I really think she is doing the right thing and support her in all her recent decisions. I am in NO WAY “against” other denominations, or religions or whatever you want to call them, you really have to stop and consider all views of one religion before you make your choice. About making your OWN choice on religion, that is up to you and you only. Your parents can go to whatever church they want, your sister can, your neighbor can go and believe whatever they choose, so I really would suggest you go your own way and find out what YOU believe and what YOU think is completely true. So I have been working my butt off to find what I believe and I am just about sure on what I believe… so far. I have taken a class, searched a ton of sites, and read a lot of material I have picked up at different churches (both my aunts, my grandmas, my sisters, my friends, everything) so now that I have heard all about it im gonna tell ya what I think.

What I Believe (and don’t believe) about…

 Religion- I believe that you must decide on one religion and stick to it. Something I don’t believe, though, is making up your own religion. I have chosen to be a Baptist, and although I don’t believe in everything the Baptist church does, I will still support it because religion is something that you must conform to. Like you cant change a religion to suit you, you must change to suit the religion. Making up your own religion is dumb. Don’t try it.

 Sinners- How many people do you have to kill to be called a murderer??? Just one.

 The Bible- I believe that the ENTIRE bible is true; inspired and written by God through the hands of men. I don’t believe you can chose on part of the bible and say its true, and not believe another part. For example, believing that God created the world…through evolution. Rar. This makes me so mad because you must believe in God to say that, so why wouldn’t you believe he created the world like he said he did??? Like I said, rar.

 Jesus- came to earth, lived a life without sin, died for our sins, arose again the 3rd day, and is back in heaven now. Ya.

 Salvation- gotta have it, cant loose it, and I think it’s the only way to heaven. A lot of people like to throw in a million things to do about how to be saved, but I don’t believe them, confess your sin and believe in God.

 Baptism- I don’t believe being baptized will save you. Read Luke 23:39-43, it helped me realize this. There are a lot of passages that say that you must be baptized to be saved, but not all of them say that. Its kinda like making a chocolate cake. No matter what recipe you use what will ALWAYS be in chocolate cake??? CHOCOLATE!! So even though baptism is mentioned in some verses, its not mentioned in all of them. I do think you should be baptized after you are saved, a lot of people don’t really stress it, I think its pretty important. I wasn’t baptized until last year, on Groundhog day. Of course.

 Predestination- not so sure I believe in this like everyone says. It’s a really tough subject and makes me crazy just thinking about it. God says witness, you can witness, but what does it matter with predestination???? Ok, if you don’t know what im talking about, don’t worry about it, it will make you confused and angry. Ignorance is bliss.

 Language- Proverbs 16:23, ahh a better one, Matthew 15:11, “What goes into a man’s mouth does not make him ‘unclean’, but what comes out of his mouth, that is what makes him ‘unclean’.” Not that I havent ever cussed, but I think it makes you look like a bad person and it’s a bad habit to have to break, I know. I know you don’t think it even matters what you say, but I think to be able to say you are a christian, you should act like one.
Also “taking the Lord’s name in vain” bugs me, still, even though I hear it everyday. People don’t even mean to say it. Or you don’t say it, but what you did say sounded like it. (I hate that!) Exodus 20:7.

 Homosexuality- Gays- its wrong, your not born gay, and its sick. Remember…hate the sin, not the sinner. I don’t think gays should get married, I don’t think they should adopt children, and God says 1man + 1 woman = yay!! Everything else, is wrong. (my opinion, of course)

 Marrige- I am so all about my wedding. But I know I wont ever have sex before im married, and I don’t want to marry anyone whos already had sex. (kinda hard to find nowadays) I think that would be a really hard thing for me to forgive. Really, though, if you had to loose your virginity anywhere, where would it be?… 1. In the back of your boyfriends truck , 2. In your parents house, or 3. A time and place that you know its right and you can get away with it? Aka married….

Ummm ya I think that’s all. Ask me about any of this stuff, im pretty sure I can back all of it up, and if I cant, it’s a typo. So hopefully you got something out of this I know its incredibly long. Sorry about that!

Open wide your Hearts.
~ 2 Corinthians 6:13

This is a new section too, that will be a lot more Christian-based, made for those that want to read.
